Thistle City Barbican is one of our largest London properties with 463 bedrooms, a restaurant, two bars, 13 meeting and event rooms and an Otium Health and Leisure Club. The Role

Glh hotels is the largest owner operator of hotels within London with 17 properties in its portfolio. Our aim is to double the value of our asset base over the next 3 years through a combination of renovation and redevelopment.

We are currently looking for recruit a Cluster Head of Revenue Management for responsibility for the 11 Thistle Hotels in the glh group.

The role of Cluster Revenue Management will have two key areas of responsibility: - Fully responsible for revenue management activity for a single cluster of Thistle properties - strategically and tactically driving RGI growth and increasing demand generation activity with the support of an Assistant Revenue Manager. - Overall accountability for revenue management activity across all glh Thistle properties - supporting two Cluster Revenue Managers with revenue delivery within their respective hotel clusters, whilst ensuring the revenue management across the entire Thistle brand is in line with revenue strategy and targets. The responsibilities of the job will include; The execution of short to mid term tactical revenue management strategies, planning solutions and executing accordingly; Taking a lead from the Group Director of Revenue Management , executing appropriate longer range revenue management strategy and tactics / actions; Responsibility for revenue delivery for your specific Thistle cluster as well as the entire Thistle brand using an appropriate combination of actions and strategy to deliver results in line with the hotels targets and budgets, and company AAM’s. As Line Manager of two cluster Revene Managers you will also be responsible for the recruitment, management, training and development of the Cluster Revenue Managers and Assistant Revenue Manager; Overall responsibility for the day-to-day line management and work activities of the Cluster Revenue Managers and Assistant Revenue Manager; Ensuring that clear succession plans are in place for the continuous development of the Thistle Cluster Revenue teams.

EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Degree level qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous but not essential At least 8 years experience in Hotel Revenue Management in full service 4 and 5 star properties Thorough knowledge of Opera PMS, Opera Reservation Services and Sales & Catering Previous experience using an automated revenue strategy platform - i.e. Duetto Sound knowledge of how rates are distributed to and display on all four Global Distribution Systems together with experience using the hotel preferencing and marketing products available Previous experience in using a channel management system - EZ Yield, Rate Tiger, Siteminder Thorough understanding of hotel distribution systems - Pegasus/GDS/Internet Highly numerate (Maths grade C or higher at GCSE or equivalent)
