The Royal Horseguards is a stunning 5 star hotel overlooking the River Thames, close to The Embankment and Trafalgar Square. The hotel has 282 bedrooms, restaurant, bar and terrace area as well as exceptional banqueting facilities at one of London's most prestigious conference and banqueting venues, One Whitehall Place.

The Role

  • To ensure that the needs of all Groups and M&E clients are met and exceeded from initial enquiry through the event to close of billing and follow up.
  • Responsible for getting the groups bookings to the contract stage before handing them to the group admin team
  • To actively promote the properties and maximise opportunities to sell meeting space, both through proactive selling and via exceptional customer service
  • Conduct show rounds professionally with the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Record all information systematically using the appropriate event enquiry form and sales enquiry summary. Provide real-time enquiry loading in Opera S&C.
  • To be confident with the company standard pricing matrix and to understand the pricing parameters available to you when quoting live.
  • Liaise closely with the operations team to ensure that rooms are properly set out and clients expectations are met.
  • Work with the hotels front office teams to ensure that bedroom allocations are complete and any special requests arranged
  • Produce a detailed function sheet on a weekly basis, produce and issue standard offer letters, confirmation letters and contracts.
  • Ensure correct accounting instructions are in place for all invoices and that agent and company profiles are attached to PM rooms where appropriate and to ensure that all charges are posted correctly.

EDUCATION & TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience within the travel/leisure industry, or studied hospitality with Revenue Management content
