Fabulously located right on the quayside, Thistle Poole is a haven with stunning sear views across the harbour. The small, close knit team offer friendly easy-going service in this intimate hotel with 70 bedrooms and two meeting rooms.

The Role

To be responsible for the cleaning and tidying of the hotel’s guest bedrooms and public areas. To carry out the domestic work required including changing the bedclothes and cleaning and replenishing the bathroom. To check the general condition of the room and notify the Housekeeping Team Leader of any malfunction or damage.

Job Responsibilities/Main Duties: 

  • Greet guests in a warm and friendly manner.
  • Anticipate guest needs whenever possible to maximise the quality of service and customer satisfaction
  • Take responsibility for all materials and equipment supplied for your use and ensure correct storage after
  • use
  • Clean and tidy guest bedrooms and public areas in line with Brand Standards
  • Use all cleaning equipment and products in line with company and manufacturers guidelines and in
  • accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • Replenish all in room toiletries in line with Brand Standards
  • Remove linens and towels from guest bedrooms for laundering
  • Report any maintenance requirements and hazards to the Housekeeping Team Leader and comply with
  • statutory and legal requirements for Fire, Health and Safety
  • Record all administration accurately
  • Remove any sharps or breakages safely and in accordance with health and safety guidelines
  • Use correct manual handling techniques with lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling
