Thistle Express Luton is a 3* hotel aimed at the savvy, value conscious traveller. It is a 152 bedroom hotel with modern design, stylish bedrooms, friendly service and fast, free Wifi. The hotel is in a great, central location, next to The Mall, a 5 minute walk from Luton train station and only 15 minutes from Kenilworth Road Stadium.

The Role

As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of this beautiful hotel (including equipment, services, building and plant), you will use your leadership skills to inspire your team and provide a seamless guest experience every time.

You will also ensure that the hotel achieves its safety and cost control targets so you will need to be confident in creating and implementing a PPM programme as this will be a critical aspect of the role. Finally you will need the ability to deliver results to deadlines through your people, with full responsibility for recruiting, managing, engaging and developing your team.


What we look for

To supervise the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel both internally and externally including equipment, services and grounds. Ensures the smooth daily operation and guest appeal of the hotel building while adhering to safety and maintenance standards and achieving costs targets. Supervises the maintenance team as well as external contractors working on site.
